Dear Colleague:

We are pleased to invite you to the Thirty-Third Annual North American Manufacturing Research Conference. NAMRC is an established international forum for the presentation and critical discussion of research results and applications from universities, industry, and national laboratories. Leaders in manufacturing research come to this conference to exchange findings and leading edge technological information.

As a contributor to the manufacturing research field, you will want to present a paper at this prestigious event. Participate in NAMRC 33 and receive far-reaching recognition of your work, as well as valuable insight from other leaders in manufacturing research. You will also want to encourage your students to enter the new Student Research Presentation Contest at the conference, designed to stimulate young talents as future leaders in manufacturing research. All accepted papers will be published in a peerreviewed volume, Transactions of NAMRI/SME. Information for submitting a paper is available online at: www.sme.org/namri. We look forward to your participation in this important event.

Our School of Engineering and Applied Science is proud to host this premier gathering and Columbia University warmly welcomes you while it celebrates its 250th anniversary. Tours will be available to facilities in materials processing and manufacturing research. We also offer a full social program with many opportunities to meet colleagues and learn about New York. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about NAMRC 33 Conference.

While participating in NAMRC 33 in New York, you will be visiting one of the most vibrant cities in the US and the world. Diverse population and a vast array of cultural attractions endow the City with a feeling of energy and excitement that only New York can offer. We look forward to seeing you in New York!
